HANKS CHADSTONE | MELB

Modern Kiosk
Hank’s Bagelry is more than just a kiosk it's a sculptural, architectural statement nestled within the dynamic flow of Melbourne’s Market Pavilion. The design embraces both practicality and playfulness, making it a standout destination in a high-traffic retail environment.
At its core is a bold, curved form that wraps the space in a continuous gesture of timber battens and crisp white tiling, giving the kiosk a strong street-front identity while maintaining an open, approachable feel. The stepped seating is not just functional but also sculptural, creating a layered plinth effect that subtly invites pause and interaction perfect for people-watching or enjoying a quick bite.
Overhead, softly curved polycarbonate cladding diffuses light across the space, creating a warm glow that draws attention without overwhelming the surrounding context. Inside, a minimal material palette of stainless steel, natural timber, and bright blue accents keeps the space fresh, clean, and efficient for service, while reinforcing the brand’s youthful personality.
Framed black steel columns anchor the design visually and structurally, allowing for transparency and openness between the kitchen, counter, and passing foot traffic. Every element has been considered form, function, and flow resulting in a kiosk that feels permanent, engaging, and unmistakably Hank’s.
